Vapordle

Vapordle is a fan-made daily guessing game built around public Steam store information. It is independently made and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, approved by, or endorsed by Valve Corporation, Steam, or any game publisher.

The game links back to Steam store pages after guesses or reveals so players can inspect the real store listing and support the original games.

Vapordle does not use Steam accounts, does not ask for Steam login credentials, and does not access private Steam profile or library data.

Privacy

Privacy basics

Your daily progress, options, and local stats are stored in this browser using localStorage so the game can remember today's runs. No account is required.

Anonymous usage stats are off by default. If enabled, the app sends aggregate events such as mode opens, completed runs, shares, and option changes. It does not send guesses, answer titles, Steam game titles, browser fingerprints, or account information.

The server stores only sanitized aggregate counters for global stats: mode, result, public day bucket, answer-pool/content setting, guesses, hints, and Review Duel score. It does not intentionally store IP addresses, user agents, or per-player event history.

Global stats are built from those anonymous aggregates only: play counts, solve rates, average guesses or hints, and best Review Duel score.

Vapordle does not currently use advertising cookies, third-party analytics scripts, or social tracking pixels. Opening a Steam store link takes you to Steam, where Steam's own privacy terms apply.

Clearing browser site data resets your local progress, stats, and options.

Steam data usage

The app uses a server-side cache of publicly available Steam store data: titles, app IDs, store links, release dates, developers, publishers, genres, categories, tags, prices, review summaries, capsule art, and screenshots where available.

The default answer pools exclude games marked as mature, NSFW, or adult-only. Mature games can be enabled manually from Options after age confirmation.

Standard answer pools weight toward games with more complete public Steam data. Full Chaos can choose any game that has enough data for the selected mode.

Cached data can be incomplete or stale until the Steam cache is refreshed.

Steam and Valve trademarks, store pages, screenshots, capsule art, and game metadata belong to their respective owners. Vapordle uses them only to identify games and link players back to the relevant Steam store pages.

Steam, the Steam logo, Valve, and related marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation. Other game names, images, logos, screenshots, and store assets are owned by their respective rightsholders.

Steam store links open third-party pages. Purchases, refunds, account activity, cookies, and privacy on Steam are governed by Valve's terms and policies, not Vapordle.

Game data can be wrong, incomplete, delayed, or changed by store-page updates. Vapordle is offered as-is for entertainment and daily puzzle play.

Mature and adult-only games are excluded by default. If you enable mature/NSFW games, you confirm that you are old enough to view mature Steam store content in your location.
